Fortnite

My son began playing Fortnite at age 10. We hesitated to allow this game as it's basically about assassinating other players, however my husband grew-up with a similar video game trope (James Bond shooter games) that we agreed didn't falter his development with bad consequences.

There are many other game options included that don't focus on assassinations, (for example: Car Races) so if that's a show-stopper for you, there are other options within the Fortnite catalog that may be more to your liking. Fortnite also brings with it a social angle that we feel benefits the new generation of gamers.

Logan uses our PS5 to play with the audio connection over the controller. He only connects audio to approved contacts - specifically friends in his age group.

Rubix Cubes

Josie adores a rubix cube! She's watched some hacks on YouTube and can usually solve a regular 3x3 in ~ 1 minute... it's pretty impressive!

Her favorite cube is linked below, this one is the best because of the smoothness of the squares, how quickly they rotate and the pleasing color palette.
